Best to visit here with a guide, to most, even us, it just looks like a bunch of rocks in a palm oil plantation with a signboard. But if you have a guide with you it will make sense of its importance.
The story: A meteorite hit here 1.83 million years ago, hard enough to melt the ground into suevite. Lenggong is the only suevite site in Asia and one of twenty-seven in the world. What makes it more than a geology fact is that a hand axe was found embedded inside the suevite, which means people were already living here when it happened and puts hominids in this valley 1.83 million years ago.
