Restoran Jelebu

One of our favourites for salai and authentic Negeri Sembilan food. This restaurant is a must every time we're passing this way. The full name is Restoran Daging Salai Jolobu Biso Bonar, which in Nogori dialect is the shop telling you upfront how good it is. Masak lemak salai is the order. Smoked beef in coconut gravy with cili padi, and the smoke comes through in the gravy as well as the meat, which is the difference between this and a place that just serves smoked meat. Mixed rice setup, so you take what you want off the line and someone comes round and prices your plate. Nasi lemak and rendang in the mornings too.
